Get your piece of paradise, while there is still time

Where better to retire than Hawaii? It's a virtual paradise on earth and it's a place that most of us dream of visiting someday. How much better it would be to live there and enjoy the beauty and culture every day after we retire.

Hawaii reminds me somewhat of the Philippines, which is where my wife is from. The tropics are so beautiful, and the sea is relaxing and adventuresome. I hope we can visit Hawaii someday for a vacation, or maybe to live. There is still some Hawaii real estate for sale that would be a great investment for discerning buyers.

I find the terrain of Hawaii very interesting. When you get away from the beach you can find some of the most beautiful mountains and waterfalls in the world. The food and culture are something that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. Don't forget Hawaii when you are considering buying a retirement or vacation property. It's time to get your piece of paradise!

Joining a wine club will give you better wines, at lower prices

What really sets off a meal is a good bottle of wine. It is romantic and it also sets your palate to better appreciate your food. Canadians often have problems obtaining certain wines, because there are so many restrictions about bringing wines into the provinces of Canada. Probably the best way to get the high quality wine you crave is to join a good wine club. That will enable you to get better quality wine, at much cheaper prices, and the wine can be delivered right to your door. The wine club sends out representatives to wineries to sample and taste test the wines. The representatives are all hand picked experts that know what is quality and what is not. That assures the wine club customers of getting the most desired and unique wines. If you decide to join a wine club, pick the membership level that is best for you and your tastes; then sit back and get ready to enjoy the wine!

New car and vacation time

We were on vacation last week. We went to a zoo and then to Branson Missouri. Unfortunately our truck, which we just had some repair work done on a few weeks back, failed us in the market parking lot of a town pretty far from where we live. We had been discussing buying a new car but had decided to wait until next year. After sitting out in the heat for about an hour waiting for help to arrive we changed our mind and went to a car dealership that very evening and bought a new car. It’s a Hyundai Elantra and in addition to being a very pretty car, it also gets terrific gas mileage; up to 40 MPG. Considering that it’s a midsized car, we think that’s pretty good. We had to have our old truck towed and repaired again. Come to find out, it was the fault of some local mechanics that did our repairs a month ago. They left some electrical wires laying on the exhaust manifold and they melted and shorted out. The repairmen are our neighbors and good people so I guess we will not make them pay for it, but its aggravating to say the least. That was the first time in many years that I have taken a car to be repaired, instead of doing it myself, and it may be the last time for awhile. If you want something done right, do it yourself. Anyway we now have a new car and a new payment to make lol, but we both like the car a lot and agreed that we are glad we got it.
